I'm as big a fan of JJ as there is.
Hard to beat that guy as a prospect.
And I do not think Rainiel is going to be better.
Also, Doyle appears legit.
But Rainiel is quickly gaining the respect of many scouts.
He's moved to 55 in MLB top 100 and is only 18 years old, but turns 19 before next season.
This could actually be the best of our top three according to some.
So, I'm giving a CT shout out to Rainiel Rodriguez.
Maybe he'll get a ST invite.
Since we're only focused on prospects anymore, Rainiel Rodriguez could be our absolute best

I always enjoy seeing the Cards top prospects get some reps with the big club in spring training. Hope RR does.Bully4you wrote: ↑28 Nov 2025 11:59 am I'm as big a fan of JJ as there is.

Yes, that is the best part of ST for me.BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑28 Nov 2025 12:06 pmI always enjoy seeing the Cards top prospects get some reps with the big club in spring training. Hope RR does.Bully4you wrote: ↑28 Nov 2025 11:59 am I'm as big a fan of JJ as there is.

This kid looks promising.

We have a lot of high ceiling guys, Rodriguez is hard to ignore. Maybe he will be a quick riser. Another big year of progress could indeed turn him into a household name, on the cusp of big league time.
I like to think that a new regime is enough to have more confidence in our development system. I don't see why it isn't a reason for optimism. Let's be honest, the tail-end of the Mo era saw us get exactly 0 out of Carlson, Walker, Gorman. We almost can't do any worse with Bloom.
Hopefully a new GM and his infrastructure lends itself to better success rates on Wetherholt, Rodriguez, and Yairo Padilla among others.

Will be interesting to see if he stays at catcher or if because of his plus bat and Bernal they move him to another position.
