Way too much for Woo, imo to give Romero, Donovan, and Walker - overreach here. Really don't like most of those packages as while it would be wise to trade Donovan, that is only if we get a haul.

I’ll edit for Craviduce to analyze it. He knows what he’s talking about

I can't believe ANY baseball fan would take the Woo proposal seriously, let alone think it's "too much" for Woo. Bryan Woo is one of the best young pitchers in the game and cost controlled for several years. In almost no scenario would Seattle even consider trading him. Theoretically, if they did decide to trade him, almost every team in MLB would be calling. Most assets in most organizations would be available. They wouldn't be targeting a 29 year old middling infielder and a prospect bust.Othawhitemeat wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 10:04 am Way too much for Woo, imo to give Romero, Donovan, and Walker - overreach here. I'd take Woo (2024-2025: 52 GS/2.92 ERA/0.91 WHiP/8.7 SO9) for Brendan Donovan, JoJo Romero and Jordan Walker in a NY Minute!
Woo is a true ACE at the FOTR and under control for four years.
If the M's made that offer, then C. Bloom would fall out of his chair reaching for the phone to accept it ASAP.

Yeah, the Woo trade would be a slam dunk.
BTV
Woo +71.7
Donovan +32.1
Romero +1
Walker +5.4

If Donovan is moved, I prefer a bat in return. Hopefully a 3b or OF bat. Unless you can obtain a really good pitcher in return.

One obvious move would be Donovan for Pages.
With whatever spare parts would be needed to finalize
None of the proposals in the linked article make sense

These are bad proposals.Melville wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 12:26 pmCorrectJuanAgosto wrote: ↑26 Nov 2025 11:17 am If Donovan is moved, I prefer a bat in return. Hopefully a 3b or OF bat. Unless you can obtain a really good pitcher in return.

No way we are getting Woo at those prices. None. We would have to add a couple of our top ten prospects just to get them not to hang up the phone.
Re: Which of these trade packages is preferable involving Donovan?
Getting the Yankees top two pitching prospects, Lagrange and Rodriguez, for Donovan would be a bonanza. Wouldn't the Cardinals have to add something?
Re: Which of these trade packages is preferable involving Donovan?
I think George Bowles from MSM is talking from his Bowels! We are never going to get Lagrange and Hess for Donovan. I will have some of what he is smoking. You got to just say no to MSM for trade proposals in the future Shady. They are usually not in align with realistic thoughts.
