Re: Guardians pitchers indicted for fixed single pitch gambling
Many of us have been saying this was going to happen. Again, if organized gambling, or crime comes to your door with a big offer.... Or worse, perhaps one day organized crime comes to your door and tells you something might happen to your mom if you don't do this.. It is not a stretch.... MLB should divorce itself from organized gambling, not promote it in ads on MLBTV. Of course, that horse has left the barn....

That horse is out of the barn. These are adults who know the rules. I hope it ends their careers.bccardsfan wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 14:15 pm Many of us have been saying this was going to happen. As I have been saying for many years, MLB no longer knows its own product.
That has made many things inevitable.
Including this.

About 2 weeks since the Portland trailblazers head coach was arrested...... surely the folks getting caught are the only ones doing it lol
Re: Guardians pitchers indicted for fixed single pitch gambling
You are correct. Prop bets are a serious issue but the horse is out of the barn. Therefore punishment must be severe. Prison, bans from playing. Got to make examples of those involved.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 14:18 pmThat horse is out of the barn. These are adults who know the rules. Like anything else out there today, these billionaires care much more about enriching themselves by any means necessary than they do the actual product that they are putting out, or the people who work for them.

Fan duel televised the games.

Yes, like when my buddy was pulled over by the state troopers in Illinois on interstate I -55 . He said to the cop , 'I was just going the same speed aor less tha nall the other ones and some were passing me. Why didn't you pull them over ? Cop replied , Because I can only stop one at a time right now and you were the one !Clubmaker2 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 15:47 pmAbout 2 weeks since the Portland trailblazers head coach was arrested...... surely the folks getting caught are the only ones doing it lol

So maybe we have the answer as to why Gorman and Walker struck out so much . They were being paid bonuses to swing and miss ! If true, they sure made a bundle in 2025. They were chasing pitches like nuts every at bat.

Speak the truth brother. Easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Doesn't leave much room for interpretation does it.Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 16:05 pm Like anything else out there today, these billionaires care much more about enriching themselves by any means necessary than they do the actual product that they are putting out, or the people who work for them.

I can just see the closing arguments in the trial of the pitcher. Defense lawyer tell the journey . You don't truly think that a well paid athlete would risk up to 65 years in prison to make an alleged 5 or 7 grand. That. ridiculous . They aren't that dumb to risk that .
Prosectur follo-up to journey ' in response to the defendant attorney comments, who ever said criminals were smart ?

MLB's self-inflicted greed comes home to roost.
