Edmonton is toast, their run is over,

Post by AtillaTheBlue1 »

their roster after the the big boys is not good, zero depth.

their goaltending has always been an issue

they should think highly about dealing mcdavid, and build around Draisaitl, with talent brought back from mcdavid deal

but who can give back the big haul????

meh. they had similar starts both of the last 2 years. They have the best player in the world who has played a lot of hockey recently. They'll be fine

I don't think either Edmonton or Florida have a chance of making it.

Making it twice in a row is tough enough, making it 3 is almost impossible, making it 4 consecutive is pretty unheard of except for a few dynasty teams and that's when travel wasn't nearly as prevalent.

They both likely still make the playoffs, but the odds of them winning all 3 rounds again aren't good.

No excuses but the Avs are so deep. They want it this year. Goaltending could be better, but they are looking like the wings with osgood.

Monster team that would win the cup today imo if the playoffs were on.

People can only take so much. They’ve been through much the past couple years. The loss to Vegas was hard on them. That first loss in the Finals devastated them. Then last year too. Plus there’s been lots of change and problems in the room similar the Blues

Chicago has Florida's unprotected first round draft pick for 2026 - if the season ended today then that's a lottery pick and the Hawks would draft around 16.

Crazy...hope it happens.

I get your excitement but it’s a looong season. Let’s see if their goaltending and Bedard can continue like this for more than a month. We are only 1 month into the season.

They had ok players on lines 3-4, this team is worse, and with no depth= long minutes for top2, and they arent getting younger

their last hurrah was last year, they are a mediocre team with 2 studs, a very good dman, and several turds.

Once Hyman returns the Oilers will have 2 very good scoring lines again.
They'll be fine even though they have holes.

No team in the west is near complete.
Colorado needs another forward and a 2nd pair d-man. Can they win a Cup with Nelson at 2C?
Vegas needs a top d-man so they can slot McNabb & Whitecloud properly.
The Stars have some overrated players. Their forward depth was depleted in the summer. They also need another d-man.
Winnipeg needs one more top 6 forward, an upgrade on the 3rd pair. Hellebuyck in the playoffs.

Who is the top goalie (in the playoffs) in the west?

Don't write the Oilers obituary yet.
