Warner was horrible as a third base coach this year, for sure.

Matt Williams could be a good move?
Then again.....Fredbird, a stadium vendor, or a fan picked at random out of the stands would be better than Pop Warner!

When all is quiet before FA signings and trades, nothing better to do than bash the 3B coach.

Now that I actually agree with you on. It was kind of funny during the regular season reading the game threads if someone was thrown out at home Warner was an idiot for sending him home when he would hold them up and the cards would fail to score then a lot of the same ones would flame him as an idiot because “you have to be aggressive and make the fielder throw you out” lol

1) This is an OPINION forum!
2) OPINIONS were raised as to the capability of the 3rd base coach.
3) I responded with MY OPINION!!!!!
4) If you can’t handle the OPINIONS of other posters I suggest finding another forum!

BTW......do YOU think Pop Warner did a good job????
I’ll anxiously await your OPINION!!!!

Just so I understand this correctly....

The Cards were a little below average in hitting with runners in score position

They had 15 runners thrown out at the plate in a year when league average was 16

They scored 105 runners on second base when the league average was 103

And now we want a guy who has been a third base coach with a team that was horrible at hitting with RISP recording 14 runners thrown out at the plate and scored 90 runners from second base?

Why? What is the grand difference maker in this person, except for the usual acrimony for the Cardinals' coaching staff?
