Can't answer that but prior to joining the Astros, Buffa co-founded a baseball performance facility in St. Louis. He's a 2016 grad of Missouri State so he's like 31. Young and experienced in applying performance science and biometrics is good enough for me.I wonder how Buffa and Bloom are connected?

Perhaps. Since we're speculating, let's give Mozeliak some credit. Maybe Buffa has been on the Cardinals' radar since his local days and once he showed his chops with the Stros the new regime snatched him up.Perhaps married a lady from St. Louis and wanting to return.
