Harper is a proven slugger. However, probably too expensive for the Cardinals.

That would not be a good move.

Let me add
He’s 33 on tail end of career
Contract at 25 mill goes through 2032
He has NTC. No way he would go to cardinals.
Dumb, dumb dumb.

If the Cardinals are going to be really competitive. They need a slugger like Harper in the middle of the batting order. I look for possible solutions. Some others here just look to criticize. Real cool. Maybe they need to try to offer some bold solutions.

Harper can still slug with the best of them. What's Sosa making? 25 million/year for Harper would be a bargain.

That boat sailed many moons ago.
No need to spend that kind of money now with a team years away from competing.
Also he has a no trade clause and I would think he'd want to go with a team serious about winning.

He has money attached and well on the wrong side of 30. Maybe it wouldn't cost Wetherholt. I don't know I don't have access to BTV.
If the Phillies get to the point that they actually trade Harper it will be interesting to see what the deal looks like. Boston did not get a Wetherholt type prospect for Devers, and Devers has a lot more control left during his prime years than Harper does.
It's probably not the right trade for us.

No one is looking to criticize you....stop being a "professional victim"
You REFUSE to accept what the Front Office has said over and over again...."this coming season will be a rebuild year."
If you refuse to accept it and make the ridiculous threads like this, you'll get fair criticism.

If Bloom could land a couple quality starting pitchers by trade or FA. The Cardinals, with a Harper in the lineup, could be very competitive to win the division in '26.

What's your realistic proposal for improving the Cardinals lineup in '26. Let's see it. Other than probably benching Burleson. LOL

Wasn't '25 supposed to be a "rebuild"? Attendance and interest is wavering. It's time for better results in '26.
