What we are seeing now with Mailloux is Army's attempt to staff the RHD with elite talent--WHEN YOU DON"T DRAFT HIGH. So where do we sit with Army's latest attempt to replace Pietrangelo? We are waiting for Jiricek to fatten up in Eastern Canada, and waiting for Mailloux to wisen up on the 3rd-line.
You think this is bad...? Just wait till you see the troubles we will see with Army's experiments at the 2C position. Army won't be able to draft 2C's either because of draft position. I can't wait for the "Mailloux" at 2C to come along. It will be far far worse than the Kevin Hayes debacle.

Army is making a 2c in Thomas.
Call him what you want. But when you are playing with the teams 2nd line wingers and also playing a more defensive style. You are the 2c.

Would a GM try to acquire Sam Bennet from Florida if Dvorsky was a sure solution at 2C?
Would Pius Suter come to the Blues after thinking long and hard about the potential if Dvorsky was a sure solution at 2C?
Some fans are sitting fat, dumb and happy regarding the 2C, which is RIGHT WHERE Army wants you to sit.
Others see the storm coming. Kevin Hayes was just a squall in comparison. Remember Hayes? Remember how much it cost us to bring him in, how painful he was to watch, and how much it cost us to get rid of him. You ain't seen nothing yet.
