GDT: Alabama @ Tigers -- 11 -- ABC
Well, here we are. The Tigers are 5-0, predicted by me and others on here, and up next is the biggest hurdle to date this season and in the Tigers' SEC history. Beating Bama would be a huge step forward for Drink's program. He has upped the level of talent, and it's Show Me time. Here are the keys IMO:
1. Must run the ball effectively, score and eat up clock. And accuracy in the short to medium passing game will be critical as well to sustain drives.
2. Must prevent big pass plays in the secondary, which has been very vulnerable to them. A strong pass rush would help. Will they finally learn where to be in zone coverage? Or will man coverage rule the day against a Bama QB known much more for his passing than his running?
3. No turnovers and keep penalties to a minimum. Bama doesn't need gifts.
4. The OLine must do a better job both in the run and pass game. Hardy and Roberts are gettng most of their yardage after contact. And the OLine surrendered 4 sacks and too many QB pressures to UMass of all teams. Gotta be better.
5. Must stonewall their run game and make them one-dimensional if the Tigers dare. I wouldn't be shocked if they choose to be largely one-dimensional.
6. Special teams will be critical if it's a close game. Gotta make short to medium FGs when attempted. Need clean play and sure tackles on kickoff and punt returns. I've given up on getting any great punt or kickoff returns. I'd be happy with no fumbles or penalties.
MIZ!

The last SEC availability report came out this evening, and Green is listed as questionable. So maybe. No others listed except for obviously Horn and Craig out. About as healthy as a team can be heading into the biggest game to date.
And 3 LBs and a DL are listed as out for Bama. Don't know if any of them are significant players.
LB Qua Russaw
LB Jah-Marien Latham
LB Cayden Jones
DL Jeremiah Beaman

Good write up and not a lot to argue with but Missouri can give up some big pass plays and still win this game.icon wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 22:05 pm Well, here we are. Bama will likely get theirs as Missouri will. For Missouri, if they can establish the run game (big plus for their passing game) and win conversions and critical yards running in the red zone, it's game on!
I look for Roberts to have a big game today.

The forecast calls for 66° and partly cloudy at game time. A perfect day for football and for a Missouri Tigers win.

Green is back today! Great news.

'Bama will challenge the Tigers to throw the ball so Moore needs to be proactive and find some single matchups on the outside to exploit and make a big play early keeping the defense honest.
This sideways passing game isn't going to cut it against a fast defense.
MU has built a portfolio of physicality so let's see it against the traditional bully.
Get out in front on the scoreboard then squeeze them.

Re: GDT: Alabama @ Tigers -- 11 -- ABC
I would prefer to see someone other than the QB running the ball....
BEAU!! TD
BEAU!! TD
Re: GDT: Alabama @ Tigers -- 11 -- ABC
Not sure if I remember a better opening drive.
Re: GDT: Alabama @ Tigers -- 11 -- ABC
What a start! Run at will with Hardy and Pribula. And a dart to Norfleet for the TD!
Re: GDT: Alabama @ Tigers -- 11 -- ABC
Perfect drive
Re: GDT: Alabama @ Tigers -- 11 -- ABC
I took Mizzou and the over. Is today the day they come through in a big-time game?
Re: GDT: Alabama @ Tigers -- 11 -- ABC
Just a stupid stupid penalty. That hurts bad. Was going to be 3rd and 15.
