Mailloux sucked last night
If this is indicative of what we are going to get from him going forward, Army might as well resign right now, because
this was the worst trade he's ever made.

He looked good in preseason. So did Binner. They may also shift guys around. Tucker may not be his permanent partner.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 06:37 am If this is indicative of what we are going to get from him going forward, Army might as well resign right now, because

I believe this was LM’s 8th game in the NHL. You’re ready to cut him loose already huh? Yes, he sucked last night. Got turned around not facing the puck a few times.
I’ll be worried if he hasn’t improved in 10-15 games or so. New team, new system, last night was Game 9 of his career…not concerned yet.

He's also 22 years old and basically a rookie.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 06:54 amPre-season is mostly AHL opposition.dtkblueshockey wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 06:53 amHe looked good in preseason. Re: Mailloux sucked last night
The entire team seemed to suffer from the jitters a bit trying to hard at home to impress, forcing a lot of passes and shots. It would have been much better in my mind if they opened on the road. But yea, look Minny is a tough match up they play hard lets check back. I initially said to give Maillouix 200 NHL games to settle in as a solid NHL defenseman. Lets give him some games to get a feel for the speed on the NHL. He will also be getting attention from Mike Weber, MacInnis, Monty and co. He'll be fine and I'll be reminding everyone about it non stopSTL fan in MN wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:12 pm Yes, he sucked last night. Got turned around not facing the puck a few times.

Monty on Mailloux's debut: "Good moment and moments where he needs to mature his game and just make the game a little simpler." #stlblues

You think the coach is going to say he was garbage?Harry S Deals wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:21 pm Monty on Mailloux's debut: "Good moment and moments where he needs to mature his game and just make the game a little simpler." #stlblues

He wasnt garbage that seems a little harsh to me. Yes i trust Montys opinion over every single random internet forum posterMiamiLaw wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:31 pmYou think the coach is going to say he was garbage?Harry S Deals wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:21 pm Monty on Mailloux's debut: "Good moment and moments where he needs to mature his game and just make the game a little simpler." #stlblues
Re: Mailloux sucked last night
There were very little (if any) bright spots for him last night and he was front and center for 2 of the goals against. Monty is not going to give his true opinion publicly to the media. Of course he is going to say what he said. That's not how it works and you know it.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:44 pmHe wasnt garbage that seems a little harsh to me. I'm not cheering for LM to fail or anything but he was objectively horrid by all metrics last night. He was not alone but that does not change it.

Why don’t we see where we’re at by Christmas and save the hot takes?MiamiLaw wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:50 pmThere were very little (if any) bright spots for him last night and he was front and center for 2 of the goals against. Re: Mailloux sucked last night
One puck hits Tucker in the back falls right a Wild player - goal. Hartman walks Holloway and the puck trickles by a sprawled out Mailloux - goal. I did see a poor pass to Tucker laterally that had to be sharper or ideally just chip it off the glass but that didnt end up in the net.netboy65 wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:53 pmWhy don’t we see where we’re at by Christmas and save the hot takes?MiamiLaw wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:50 pmThere were very little (if any) bright spots for him last night and he was front and center for 2 of the goals against. Its fine I'll be here when we are cheering the trade, but like i said "garbage" is a little strong for me at least until i see you remotely skilled or athletic enough to get paid to do anything similar
Re: Mailloux sucked last night
Why can't we discuss the team? We can only talk about positive things? We have to wait until Christmas before we can say whether a player had a good game or not? I am not saying release or bench the guy but the thread is titled "Mailloux sucked last night". He did...netboy65 wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:53 pmWhy don’t we see where we’re at by Christmas and save the hot takes?MiamiLaw wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 14:50 pmThere were very little (if any) bright spots for him last night and he was front and center for 2 of the goals against.
