Kerber/Vitale will go down as an epically massive mistake
This is so bad
It won’t get better
This is who they are
What a dramatic error
No (buzz) and pretty face either, what a huge mistake

Disagree. I thought they were fine. I will always say JK was one of the best. But this duo works too. If you think these guys are bad, apparently you haven’t listened to many other teams’ broadcasts.

They are bad
The broadcast as a whole is bad
Went from major pro’s in JK and Pang with big tattass and a pretty face
To two amateurs and 4 old dudes in warman, Bernie, rivs, and Strickland.
What a downfall.

Awful.
Kerbs does not not when to get excited and his head is not in the game. Exciting plays were happening and they were [nonsense]-ing about wearing ties or something when the Blues were outshooting the Wild like 15-0 in the 2nd period. They don't talk about game stats and aren't reacting to the actual play on the ice like everyone else who is watching. Super delayed reactions to everything too.
No, I could not do better but JK was so much better.

I had to listen to the MN broadcast. Man, they had no enthusiasm at all. You would've thought it was a random game in Timmins, Ontario or something.
Surprised they were so lame.

I thought it was fine too. Anyone who didn’t notice that Kerbs and Vitale significantly cut down on the schtick has an agenda and the truth isn’t part of it. They were fine last night. Hopefully they’ll get better too.
Everyone relax…81 more games to go people.
Re: Kerber/Vitale will go down as an epically massive mistake
Agree 100 percent.
JK will always be in Blues top 3, but Kerber and Vitale bring a much higher energy level than JK and Rivers.
Plus, I appreciate that Vitale (fairly) criticized some of the Blues play. No homerism.
I'd wager that if the Blues had won 5-0, there would be little to no word about Kerber and Vitale, much less three more threads about them.

I didn’t have a problem with them either. I also typically am watching the game and the announcers are background noise.Backesdraft wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 07:10 amI thought it was fine too. I also want to mention again that NOW JK and Panger are consummate pros, but when they were here people were complaining about them right and left between the “thank you thank you” and “nine of hearts”! Some folks aren’t happy no matter what.
Re: Kerber/Vitale will go down as an epically massive mistake
They were not as bad as I was expecting. Hopefully they will get better as things progress. And hopefully they are aware of the legitimate concerns & feedback that have been expressed at length here and elsewhere. Vitale's play analysis and pointing some things out were okay, just too lengthy & prevented hearing live play calling from Kerber.
I have to say, if the Blues had not been so nervous, out-of-sync and out of the game, then it might have been easier for them to get into a good broadcast groove. Let's hope they get it together, win these next two games on the road and come back to deliver more on the ice and in the booth.

Re: Kerber/Vitale will go down as an epically massive mistake
I thought they were good - and better than I expected. Having listened on the radio long enough, I've thought that Kerber is a good play by play guy and Vitale is a good color guy when he's limited to short spurts. My big fear was how would they reign in Vitale's tangents that seemed to go on forever on the radio, and I thought he did reign them in (I feel like I've heard the Sidney Crosby not letting a 5 year old beat him in a race story at least 90 times). Granted, I stopped watching after the 5th goal, so not sure how they sounded afterwards.
Re: Kerber/Vitale will go down as an epically massive mistake
Change is inevitable. They were very good. The team was not.
Re: Kerber/Vitale will go down as an epically massive mistake
I thought they were fine. FanDuel on the other hand had audio problems which they also had last year during the pre-game. Once they got that done they applied the LSD filter to the video which also took them a while to fix.
Since they like to cut costs I imagine they have cut staffing on the production side and not just with announcers.
The ridiculous gambling (bleep) at the bottom of the screen was not too bad but I fear it may grow to take up a bigger part of the screen.

I didn't love it, but if I'm being honest, I expected to be more annoyed by it then I actually was.
The only time they really bothered me was when they were convinced the Thomas shot had gone in and it took them several seconds to realize play was still going on lol.

Cutting down on it does not all of a sudden make them great announcers.Backesdraft wrote: ↑10 Oct 2025 07:10 amI thought it was fine too. No agenda. Just missing JK and not a fan of Kerbs and Vitale so far.

Put me in the don’t like our announcers team. Never been a Kerbs fan.
