Highly recommend The Lowdown. It is on FX (you can also watch on Hulu). Good story, great cast.
Ethan Hawke is great as usual, Kaniehtiio Horn (for all you Letterkenny fans), Scott Shepherd (The Last of Us, True Detective), the always awesome Keith David, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kyle MacLachlan, Dale Dickey...really a fun watch so far.

Peter Dinklage was in episode 5, and was pretty outstanding. He is such an incredible actor, and just makes me miss Tyrion Lannister even more.
Re: The Lowdown
It's great. It's also available on Amazon Prime. I think that Ethan Hawke should be a shoo-in for the best actor Emmy.FrankTheTank wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 17:57 pm https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31289994

Re: The Lowdown
Season 1 is done, all 8 episodes are now available. I really like how they wrapped it up, and I hope they get a season 2. I guess it hasn't been announced yet, but I would be surprised considering the cast and the generally positive reviews and support.

I actually thought it was a Canadian level production; it was that bad.

I don't know what you mean by that, and also wonder if we watched the same show. Do you mean it was like the John Candy flick Canadian Bacon, or it reminded you of [shirt]'s Creek? Or Letterkenny? Wait, did it remind you of Trailer Park Boys? Cool!I actually thought it was a Canadian level production; it was that bad.
