Including playoffs? Yeah, I believe that...
Re: Pietrangelo Out For Entire Season
Gotta be really honest, the guy has a wife, kids, tons of money. Retire. Play golf. Pick the kids up from school. Get involved in youth hockey. Hang out with Maroon on TV.

I’m glad he’s not going the surgery route. Agreed. He’s done it all. Nothing left to prove. People like to go out of n their own terms though.

Hell yes! I don’t know a thing about his injuries but why take any chances. If you have 50-60 million banked, how many chances do you really need to take. Enjoy your money, spend time with the wife and kids, get involved with your kids activities, flash the Stanley Cup ring(s) occasionally and enjoy what your skills have afforded you. Being in your 30s, you have the opportunity to enjoy a life that most could only dream of.

Worst, most corrupt franchise in the entire NHL. An absolute joke. Bettmann should be embarrassed that he’s enabled this kind of (bleep). Feel terrible for the franchises that have always played by the rules and are complete afterthoughts because of it.Hazelwood72 wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 14:47 pm Just reported that Petro and Vegas agreed on terms where he will be out for the entire season including playoffs.

So he's back next season?
Do these people ever do anything straightforward up and up?

Re: Pietrangelo Out For Entire Season
I get where you’re coming from but a lot/most of these guys love playing the game and while the money is great, it’s not why they play. I look back on my super, super amateur career playing soccer and I’d give almost anything to be able to go play again.
Re: Pietrangelo Out For Entire Season
Ok, well couple of things here. I don't understand why everyone is so angry, they're NOT pulling a Vegas. He's out for the year, including playoffs. If they hadn't sped up implementing the playoff cap, I think it would have been different. They can't have him and his replacement playing at the same time. I think he put off surgery to try to make it back for the playoffs and the announcement changed all of that. We'll find out if he opts for surgery now or tries to come back.
For those telling him to retire, he is. He's not travelling away from home. If he makes it "official" he loses 2 years salary. What makes you think Petro is going to walk away from 18 million. If he was that type of person, he'd have given the Blues a discount. He's getting every dime owed, as he has every right to do. Just like Torey Krug.

I'm far from a Petro apologist, but, what makes his taking a year to try to get healthy any different than Gabriel Landeskog? I mean other than Landy getting paid for almost 3 full seasons. June of '22 to April of '25, just in time for playoffs. Glad they lost.
Re: Pietrangelo Out For Entire Season
Taf he's done. He's toast. Yet here we are to believe "he's out for the year."
This after the 4 Nations sit out, then the weak return because some how able.
Then the release he's done. Then the rumors maybe not.
Now the statement "out for the year".
I could give a sheet but this "out for the year" has Vegas and Petro written all over it.
Re: Pietrangelo Out For Entire Season
That's why I think the announcement of the playoff cap implementation caught them sideways. They announced he was hurt and would be LTIR'ed. I think he put off surgery to try to make it back for the playoffs if he could. The NHL implements the playoff cap a year early, they announce he's done for the full season.dhsux wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 18:29 pmTaf he's done. He's toast. This franchise and player remain not forthright. There's games to be played.
