Are the Phillies getting old.
Good morning.
Are Phillies aging out. Lots of swing and misses during scoring opportunity. By their stars.
Or is the Dodger pitching that good?
There will come a time that they will be gone. How big of a missed opportunity will that be.
Enjoy.

They are very good, but yes, they are aging out. In my opinion they have a couple more years of good times before they realize their payroll and farm system have been Dombrowski'd.

Seemed their left handed power bats were slow. Could be just one game; could be the Dodgers pitching. You’re right. Two more years and it’s a new look.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 06:23 am They are very good, but yes, they are aging out. In two more years they will also be screwed if they have to comply with a salary cap.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 06:26 amSeemed their left handed power bats were slow. Blake Snell makes a lot of good hitters look pretty feeble. We saw it last night.
Bob Gibson showed teams that too in 1968 with his 1.12 ERA . Gibby even made Hank Aaron look like a .250 hitter and he was one of the best .

Could get even older BDog if they take on NADO.

Re: Are the Phillies getting old.
My Phillies to win it all pick isn't aging well. If they don't win a ring with this core they will kick themselves over losing to Arizona in 2023.

Re: Are the Phillies getting old.
The Phillies may be getting older but the loss of Wheeler has changed the dynamics of the Phillies. The fact that the Phillies lose two starts from Wheeler and possibly a third start in any seven game series is a lot to overcome. Does anyone not believe that a Wheeler could change the outcome of any series, even against the Dodgers.

Well the Dodgers slow played their starters all season to peak in October.
Now they have a rested Sasaki to close games out, their bullpen is still susceptible.

Philly's window of opportunity is closing.
