I saw “Soul on Fire” at a family/friends showing last Friday.
It was a great story of hope, faith, family, friendship and love based on the story of St. Louisan John O’Leary.
In these troubled times it’s a story from which all of us can find inspiration.
I hope many see it, it begins Oct. 10.

Re: “Soul on Fire”
I read the article in the post about the screening. The man who the story is based on seems like quite the person. I wish I'd seen him play the piano.
Re: “Soul on Fire”
It’s a great story and he does play the piano at many of his speaking engagements.
I’ve seen him play, he’s married to my wife’s cousin’s daughter, we were at their wedding. He is the most compassionate, genuine person I’ve ever known. And it’s not like we’re close or anything.
The movie is awesome IMO.

I saw it last Friday, and I must admit that this old cynic was moved by it. It is a sincere tearjerker, but it does lift your spirits by showing the triumph of the human spirit. It helps renew your faith in humanity, something we desperately need in these troubled times. It's also fun seeing all the St. Louis sites.
