Arenado
- he proved he was in decline
Fedde
- Obvious
Pallente
- proved he wasnt a great option to start
Gorman/Walker
- One more year older, one more year removed from best season
Nootbaar
- Most healthy, but produced 4th starter numbers
Helsley
- Maybe not much but some
‐--‐---
Who gained value from start of year
Matz
- Reinvented as effective reliever, can still spot start
Donovan
- A solid year
Scott
- Showed some positive movement. Has to improve his average
Liberatore/McGreevy
Burleson
- Marginal improvement. He can still hit, but D?
Herrera
- proved he can hit
‐‐-----
Stayed even
Mikolas
- Started the year horrible deficit value, ended as such. Slightly more respectable innings eater from last year.
Gray
- Overpay and a bit disappointing. But good arm on staff, just will require eating salary.
Contreras
‐------
Overall Mo lost some value on players this season
- some he kept too long
- some proved maybe they dont belong
- some proved value
I suppose if we move on from Nootbaar, are closer to moving on from Gorman and/or Walker, have Liberatore/ McGreevy show something, got a little return on Matz/Helsley, got clarity on Pallante, had Gray show he's not an ace, it wasnt a total loss. We know more thsn we did at the start of the season.
