And NO I'm not saying they are all the same player, but would you rather have those two or one of Kaprizov?

I get your point but I never had an issue with either contract....but they do look even better today than yesterday.

For comparison, Kaprisov had 7.4 point shares last year. Kyrou had 8.8 Robert Thomas had 8.4. I know Kaprisov only played 41 games, but part of ability is avialibility.

Crazy how quickly that Kyrou contract went from scary to a good value in just one season. He had his best 2 way season by far last year combined with the rising cap.

Speaking of great value, how about that Colt deal at 6.5! Thomas at 8 for what he’s developing into!!!

Thomas’ contract was a bargain before the ink dried. Kyrou’s seemed relatively fair at first but a little dicey. With the Cap exploding since he signed it and him improving his defensive game in that time, it’s now good value.

The eventual Holloway and Broberg extensions are likely going to hurt though..

KAPRIZOV--Thats awful. Bad for the game! Reminds me of the escalating salaries before lockout--Pronger Tkachuk Weight etc.

That's a terrible contract but one Minny had to get done.

They don't have anyone even close to replacing him and trading him wouldn't have gotten anyone close back.

This isn't the same as Edmonton. If they don't re-sign McDavid they still have Drai signed for the next 7 seasons and that's still really, really good.

If Kaprizov leaves, Minny has Joel Erikkson Eck, Matt Boldy and not much else.

However, this raises the salary bar quite a bit so that sucks quite a bit.

They were good when they were signed and looking better every year. IMO with the injuries to Kaprizov Kyrou alone is a better contract.

If Holloway continues his upward projection, I think just under $9M per year is reasonable.

I am hopeful we get him at 8x$7-8 and he preforms up to that $9M he can clearly play at.

Huge. Thomas looking like one of the best contracts in the league and Kyrou is a net value gain as well. Now lets lock up Broberg and Holloway at 8x8 before it goes up too much

They look as good as they always have looked.

Sounds like you read a lot of [shirt] from low info army fans.
