Is Gorman in Witness Protection
Dude never made a plate appearance in Frisco.
Has Oli and the brass given up on him
It appears so.
Can't blame them.

TOXIC CULTURE.
They are trying to show that N/A has something left in the tank, attempting to minimize the amount of $$$ they will be forced to eat when moving him.
This is about $$$, not baseball.
Re: Is Gorman in Witness Protection
Maybe they are trying to keep him above the Mendoza line, he is hitting.204
If he goes 0/7 this weekend he hits below .200

This has zero to do w/ Gorman.
It is about showcasing Nado. Trying to prove Nado has trade value to potential offseason suitors.

This is a lot of it. 3B for Gorman has vanished since Nado returned. Donnie came back and is hitting, so that takes care of 2B. Fermin has been hitting well too. You hit, you play. Unless you are Nado and then the vet gets the nod. Plus, Gorman isn't hitting (surprise). So if your choice is between Nado, who hits a little, and plays good D, and stormin' Norman, who hits very little except in streaks (and isn't on one), and plays very bad D at 3B... duh... I fear we will see a lot of Gorman on D next season unless moves are made.rockondlouie wrote: β26 Sep 2025 09:00 amBingo BasilBasil Shabazz wrote: β26 Sep 2025 08:51 am This has zero to do w/ Gorman.

I have the same fears bcc, I'd put both he and Walker at Memphis to start 2026 and hope Bloom's fresh eye's down there can fix them.

Yeah, it's such a toxic culture not playing a guy batting .204 with a .669 OPS that strikes out 33% of the time and doesn't play good defense.
Re: Is Gorman in Witness Protection
Yeah, Gorman should have played in SF of all places. Short RF HR porch. And Arenado is yesteryear's news.

I would agree with that. You know, after being on the IL, they are going to turn NA into a show pony. Gorman has had his chances. Trying to squeeze the last drop out of the $30 million man.
Re: Is Gorman in Witness Protection
Then why not PH him in the 9th when you're down 1, just put in Church and Walker is coming up?Basil Shabazz wrote: β26 Sep 2025 08:51 am This has zero to do w/ Gorman.
