Just One Hypothetical Situation
I worded it this way because I realize there are many potential scenarios.
This is just ONE:
*Arenado is dealt opening up 3B.
* The Cards have multiple LH bats with more(JJ, etc.) on the way.
*Would you rather deal Noot or Gorman??
*Dealing Gorman has JJ/Donovan cover 2B/3B.
*Dealing Noot has JJ/Gorman probably covering 2B/3B with Donovan quite possibly in the OF.

That's really hard to choose because Noot and Gorman need to be dealt. As you mention, Wetherholt is another left handed bat and if Crooks is kept that introduces another lefty. I assume Crooks will find his bat at some point.

Re: Just One Hypothetical Situation
The only way to tecieve any value in return is to bundle. Od have to believe the list of untouchables is on a small post-it note.
Gotta bundle. We need one of those Whitey Herzog 5 -6 player trades. The Cards have catching depth that they can also dangle. As far as free agency? They'll have to overpay to get any real quality to want to be a Cardinal, so CB has his work cut out for him. The team does not have the reputation of a great culture now, we gotta hope that Bloom has a better connection throughout the league.
Bring on the winter meetings. Im anxious for the first move to be made. That alone may tell us something, because we're not accustomed to that even happening .

(bleep) part of this “reboot” is how miserably some of the lynchpin kids have developed.Cusecards wrote: ↑25 Sep 2025 08:47 amBoth could be the answer?Absolut wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 22:36 pmYesCusecards wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 21:27 pm I worded it this way because I realize there are many potential scenarios.

Going back over the last 4/5 years the System has not kept up.
Reyes, Flaherty, Hudson, etc were all supposed to headline the rotation and look where we are.
And of course lots of accurate comments on Gorman, Walker, etc.
Hopefully(fingers crossed!) it’s beginning to turn around?
Winn. Now McGreevy. JJ on the way. A number of promising Catchers. Doyle?
I’m hopeful on Josh Baez.
