Robo umps coming in 2026

Will be used on challenges in the 2026 season. Results to be shown digitally on the scoreboard. Challenges limited to to 2 per game, I believe, and can called by batter, pitcher or catcher.

This is the stupidest idea ever.

Simpler and better just to let the machines call balls and strikes in the first place.

But baseball is determined to build a dumb-âss, hybrid/nonsense Rube Goldberg machine.
