stud freshman getting second half?

Post by hdhntr148 »

game will be over by then with Rushing attack beating up opposing D. Hopefully Eli will use this opportunity to give his true freshman QB real opportunity to use the whole offense and two true freshman rb's to feed and gain even more experience. it's a game you paid for and need to get their money's worth. Plus maybe a long FG opp for the kid kicker?

I'm going to settle for knowing that Drink & Co are on top of this scenario.

But with his extensive background, I can see why 148 can only hope that they are smart as he is.

Yeah I am basically with you on this.

Zoller and Company can use the experience to Missouri's benefit.

And if nothing else...and it's hardly some small matter....INJURY.

actually I am but it's easy posting things on a discussion board and not having to make decisions that affect so many. It IS the logical thing to do IF you are like myself always looking at scenarios. How would you feel if Beau got hurt and was out for a month or so? wouldn't it have been nice if your QB had a half of running the offense, throwing the ball and getting those reps?

Look at OU right now as Mateer was their leading rusher as well as terrific passer but is now out for month or so and their RS freshman QB with a couple games experience last year on a really bad offense will be da guy for next several games including the biggest of year in Red River Rivalry. Wouldn't it have been nice in their cupcake games if he was in gaining experience with a much better offense?

You can tell guys who know nothing about CFb or even HS who don't know how guys who have coached think. Are we at these guys level? no but FB is a very basic sport with same number of players and field. It's not brain surgery just common sense.

I said this before but do you really wanna risk your only viable backup at this point? Maybe give Zollers a couple series but run the third string guy out there to hand the ball off to Davis and maybe make a couple throws for fun.

I loved how Gary Pinkel let his second string QBs get a series in the second quarter on a regular basis in the early season especially. It might have saved his career and thus saved us from more terrible years when Chase was able to fill in for Brad against Iowa State. Plus, he was part of sending a ton of QBs to the nfl between Mizzou and Washington
