Can't disagree with any of that. Miles is toast, he needs to consider retiring.
Noot could be pretty good player. I just don't think he's able to stay serious long enough to reach his potential.
Arenado, I had high hopes with him and Goldy on the team. I just never worked. Blame it on Mo and his decisions.

Goldy and Nado were nowhere to be seen in the playoffsHorseTrader wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:10 pm Can't disagree with any of that. Miles is toast, he needs to consider retiring.

Gorman's future in STL may depend on whether or not Nado returns next season and if the Cards decide if JJ starts at 3B next season.

If Gorman is the third baseman it’s going to be awful watching him be bad on defense and helpless at the plate againredbirdfan51 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:43 pm Gorman's future in STL may depend on whether or not Nado returns next season and if the Cards decide if JJ starts at 3B next season.

SSS. We should need more than one or two games against another teams Ace to make a fair determination. The fact that the Cardinals never made it to a seven game series largely due Oli’s bullpen management prevented those two from getting a real chance over an extended periodscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:13 pmGoldy and Nado were nowhere to be seen in the playoffsHorseTrader wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:10 pm Can't disagree with any of that. Cards had a 2-0 score heading into the top of the 9th, where Helsley got the loss with Phillies scoring 6...4 of Helsley
Game 2
Cards score 0 runs in 9 innings, and lose 2-0
Bats failed

All 3 gone
Or
Al 3 back?
Re: 3 players playing their final home games with Cardinals
Nado sure made a splash in his third-to-last game in Busch wearing Cardinal red.

Re: 3 players playing their final home games with Cardinals
Mikolas clearly gone!
I would deal Noot while he still has some semblance of value.
He’s a platoon OF that fills a need on a team that needs a LH bat.
The Cards have LH bats.
Arenado of course will come down to the NTC.

Very nice job on your part in highlighting a silver lining from this season!ramfandan wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 17:57 pm https://redbirdrants.com/3-players-play ... ardinals/3

Possessing one myself, I appreciate "half glass full" perspectives from others!

Agree. I am hoping Bloom figures he's had plenty of time to prove he is what he is and dumps him off for anything he can get. This team can not build around a strikeout king, stumble bum fielder like Gorman.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:44 pmIf Gorman is the third baseman it’s going to be awful watching him be bad on defense and helpless at the plate againredbirdfan51 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:43 pm Gorman's future in STL may depend on whether or not Nado returns next season and if the Cards decide if JJ starts at 3B next season.

Actually, the Cardinals do not have 1 or even 2 players to "build around". Sadly, its going to have to be a tear-down, and I'd imagine JJ, Winn, Donovan , Mcgreey, and Libby as the only guys that I would bet money on to remain a Cardinal next year.Dewey Kuey wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 23:41 pmAgree. Unfortunately, none of the other guys return much in a trade.
