And why can't they help him ?Is it all his fault or do the coaching same need some blame. If the the kid can make make contact could be a great hitter.

He gets homer happy! He starts trying to pull everything. Pitchers recognize this and don’t give him anything that he can hit that way hard, but he tries to anyway. When he goes with the pitch and just hits what he’s given, he does pretty good. You’ll see him hit balls out to LCF, and hit line drives into the gaps. However, once he does this a few times, he starts fooling himself into thinking he can do that with any pitch and falls back into old habits. Nothing will ever change until he realizes this and Is ok being that type of hitter.Kentucky kid wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:20 pm And why can't they help him ?Is it all his fault or do the coaching same need some blame. If the the kid can make make contact could be a great hitter.

He wants to be a 40 homer guy so bad, I don’t think he’ll ever change. He’s simply too stubborn and believes he can do it his way!
He hasn’t even tried to change for any extended period of time, and it is going to cost him his MLB career.Hoosier59 wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:36 pmHe gets homer happy! Young players rely mostly on physical talent. At some point that strategy stops working. That’s when the best players LISTEN AND LEARN AND ADJUST. The rest get other careers.Cusecards wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:47 pm100% spot on!Hoosier59 wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:36 pmHe gets homer happy! He starts trying to pull everything. They pitch him away...he steps in the bucket AND tries to pull.
When he goes the other way he has success.
It’s between the ears.
Jesus...what stupid question and sentiment: "If the the kid can make contact could be a great hitter."Kentucky kid wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:20 pm And why can't they help him ?Is it all his fault or do the coaching same need some blame. If the the kid can make make contact could be a great hitter.
He’s not a good hitter he sucks then after a long period of sucking he starts adjusting gets hot the pitchers adjust then it takes him a long period of sucking before he finally adjusts again and it ends up being long periods of sucking with a short hot streak or two mixed in that leaves his numbers looking like trash. The coaches can tell him they are getting you out with fastballs up in the zone lay off of them and make them bring the pitches down but they can’t force him to do it they can’t bat for him. A lot of hitters just like him have failed a ton of power but can’t do the main thing a player needs to do and that’(poop) the ball. He’s not a unicorn like some have claimed there have been many just like him who failed in the big leagues because they aren’t good hitters and can’t make contactKentucky kid wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:20 pm And why can't they help him ?Is it all his fault or do the coaching same need some blame. If the the kid can make make contact could be a great hitter.
If I could have hit a curve ball I'd have been a great hitter.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 21:25 pmJesus...what stupid question and sentiment: "If the the kid can make contact could be a great hitter."Kentucky kid wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:20 pm And why can't they help him ?Is it all his fault or do the coaching same need some blame. If the the kid can make make contact could be a great hitter.

Not going to single out Gorman. You could include Walker, Scott, etc, and hitter struggling to establish consistency.BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 21:07 pmYoung players rely mostly on physical talent. What a stupid post. If he could only hit a baseball he would be a great hitter. There are many guys that can swing a bat hard but don't make it to a good college because they don't make contact.Kentucky kid wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:20 pm And why can't they help him ?Is it all his fault or do the coaching same need some blame. If the the kid can make make contact could be a great hitter.

Why can't the Cards score runs. I mean if they could just get hits with runners in scoring positions, they'd be goodBrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 21:52 pmIf I could have hit a curve ball I'd have been a great hitter.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 21:25 pmJesus...what stupid question and sentiment: "If the the kid can make contact could be a great hitter."Kentucky kid wrote: ↑18 Sep 2025 20:20 pm And why can't they help him ?Is it all his fault or do the coaching same need some blame. If the the kid can make make contact could be a great hitter.
