One things for sure, if he's on the bench he's never gonna cheat the team.

I actually love signings like this. I’m not the guy that says Walker should be an everyday player. In my opinion he is a locker room guy that if you needed some attitude he is your guy. He’s not going to scare the other team, but he is going to make your locker room be put on notice. If little Walker has that kind of heart, everyone should be playing like that. His contract to me looks like it signals he’s a 4th line press box guy. Which is perfect.

Love Walker. Should be in the lineup every night but I get that it would be hard to sustain his kind of play for 82 games.

But when that guy is in the lineup, you are going to know it and he is going to impact the game.

I’m not surprised by this move. I thought all the lineup prognostications omitting he and/or Toropchenko were a little odd TBH. Plus, he had a good playoff series. Not sure his body can hold out for a full 82 games, but you probably don’t need him every night. He gives you everything he has, no doubt about that.

Solid signing.

No doubt he is good for the locker room and the team. He is a very Blues type player.

Some good quotes from Dingo via Korac

https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/st-louis- ... -extension
"Obviously St. Louis is where we want to be," Walker said. "My family and I love it. Besides the on-ice things, the off-ice in St. Louis is very community friendly. We love it here, we enjoy it. The on-ice side of things, the culture here is where we want to be and obviously hopefully we can build off what we did last year.

"It's always nice to have that stability, kind of have that in your back pocket for sure. ... It was pretty quick the past few days. I think it's something that both sides wanted and there wasn't too much to it."

...

"I think the culture of the St. Louis Blues, it kind of fits in with my character and my personality, my character," Walker said. "It's just a good fit for both sides.

"Everyone wants to play 1,000 games and make tons and tons of money. We love it here, me and my family and I. I love being a part of the St. Louis community and being a Blue and the history that this place has is really something special for me."

A very good contract. Good fair value for both sides.

I would love to see the guys gene tree...because I wouldn't be surprised if Bob Bassen wasn't in there somewhere....

Yea I don't see him as a JAG at all. The guy moves the needle. He doesn't have elite skill so I guess he's a JAG from that sense but he's no JAG like, for example, a guy like M Joseph is a JAG or De La Rose was a JAG.

Happy to keep Walker. Nobody outworks him, he’s always happy and is apparently good in the room. One of these days he might be forced to be more 13th or 14th on the depth chart than 11th/12th but for near minimal money, I’m good with that. You know you’ll always get 100% when he’s in the lineup.

Another guy stating that he loves the culture inside the Blues and in the community. Hmmm.

Love the JAG tag...he proves it wrong every minute on the ice.

Can't count the games he's turned around.
