I don't understand the 2 Saladin moves....and in which order they should be taken? Was he promoted, then moved to D.I.? Was he placed on D.I., then promoted and activated?

Rainiel Rodriguez moves to #99 on BA's Top 100 prospect list.

I thought they had him much higher than that...then I realized, they were higher on Padilla than RR....but gushed all over RR all summer long. I assumed he was Top 25 by now.

I assume he'll be Top 50 in November, when they don't update by attrition, but do an actual real, updated list.

speaking of Padilla...

I'm calling out all publications that will list Hjerpe higher than Padilla, probably Hence and Roby, too.....Padilla is a generational talent. He hit @17yo in the FCL..stateside. That's insane, and his season was derailed by injury in late June with a few weeks left in the season. The speed, the glove, the arm, and then the hit caught up to those. He takes a ton of pitches....he's grown a hell of lot, up to 6'4"-6'5" now. The power may get there or not....but I don't think it'll matter.

That's never come out of my mouth. I'm highly critical of the guy and believe he's of the Leahy ilk...best hope is long relief.

I give him a nod for getting a little better swing and miss stuff....but his health is a question, and his ability go beyond the 1st time through the order.

are people still enamored by his initial Springfield run?

I guess I was just shocked.

I thought that the "real deal" label would be better suited for Rajcic and/or Lin...both have severely underperformed after great 1st years in the organization.

Leahy has actually been good.

I think Lin is hurt. He was having a fine year until he went on the DL or IR or whatever.
He has been bad since he came back.
I think we will hear about the surgery in the off season.
