the rest i just dont have many thoughts. I will say this Brian Elliot was always a favorite of mine. He was the most consistent goalie we had and was the best shoot out goalie in blues history. He always played out of his league for the blues. Also we traded him for the pick that we would draft jordan kyrou with...

You guys are way off base. Top three:

Hall
Binnington
Liut

If you want to flip Hall and Binner I won't argue with you. Otherwise, kids, ask yourselves " Who is the only Blues goaltender to win a Vezina, AND a Conn Smythe?".

Yes, Hall was that good, far past his prime.

Hall was indeed a great goalie but as far as the Blues are concerned I have to take points off for lack of longevity.

I would take Chris Mason off of the list and add Jacques Plante into the mix. I realize Hall and Plante were not here that long, but they were definitely both great while they were.

A lot of recent bias in that list. Some solid yeoman goaltenders on not so great teams -- think Eddie Staniowski, Eddie Johnston, Jacques Caron, Phil Myre. My personal favorite and who did solid work on a horrible team -- Fred Braithwaite. None of these guys in top five but deserve mention for service.

Remember when we got Jim “The Net Detective” Carrey? He had a decent first couple games then the bottom completely dropped out

That was an ugly stretch of goaltending. He was one of many that management tried --- remember the Patrick Lalime era? That was positively fugly. Reinhard Divis, Chris Beckford-Tseu, Manny Legace and the Sarah Palin carpet slip to name a few. A fever dream of shaky goaltending.

This is a great question. I've been religiously a Blues fan since the 1989-90 season. Started learning names in 1990-91 season (I was a kid). In my lifetime as a Blues fan there have been 4 goalies I felt confident about between the pipes. Joseph, Fuhr, Elliott, and Binnington. While I didn't get to watch them play, I know Liut and Hall were special as well. Those would be my top 6 and the remainder are interchangeable. I can't accurately rank the top 6 because I didn't have the pleasure of watching Hall and Liut. My best guess would be:

1- Binner
2- Hall
3- Fuhr
4- Liut
5- Joseph
6 - Elliott
7- Millen (best of the rest)
8-15 - the rest
