The 22 year old has 17 HRs, 89 RBIs, .276 BA, and .789 OPS combined for three different teams.

His numbers with Memphis have sucked (he does have a couple homers now in September). Anyone know why?

The best thing about that stat line is the nose for the RBI. Lost art with this team and much needed.

His numbers (and scouting reports) were discussed thoroughly on here at the time of the trade, and he’s been horrible (37 wRC+) at Memphis ever since. So what’s your point?

This is true. He has been bad at Memphis. He is a better hitter than he has shown. He does seem to be doing better this week. Glad for that.

I think that's correct. He's going to be a factor at some point (rather soon) I think.

Agreed. And it appears he may have hit into some bad luck (.167 BABIP). I just don’t understand the point of the thread—it’s not as if the incremental data accumulated since the trade has been more positive or encouraging, or has materially changed his profile.

The point of the thread is attention. I suspect he knows that this isn't true and it generates lots of clicks and comments. The attention is the point and we can't seem to help ourselves.

idk - we heard that about Luken Baker for years based on his MiLB production. Where is he now?

Jesus Baez is listed as the #7 Cardinals' prospect. And Blaze Jordan is at #18. Currently, Baez may be a little high and Jordan a little low.

Good to see Jesus Baez show some power today. 2 hits, 1 HR and 3 RBIs.
