Maybe so.
I am not sure about their farm guys, but they do get promoted heavily.
But that's not the issue.
They have abundant resources and deploy those resources rather widely.
I mean they buy up all the talent.
Every year they seemingly buy the best on the market.
Yet, they tread water in their division and lose games to teams like the Pirates.
That should never happen.
They are Goliath and the Pirates are David.
Maybe lose once to David, but lose 3 in a row?

They've had nearly the worst offense and starting pitching in the league for a couple months now... the defense and bullpen have kept them at .500.

And the defense/bullpen will be why they really don't need to improve that much to be a wild card team next year (for better or worse).

Don't forget they also have more than $1B in player salaries deferred into the 2040's. An unfair advantage already built in once the salary cap arrives in '27....or '28....whenever the game resumes again.
