Walker's stance move to middle of box on Wednesday 9/3

What are the opinions of who instigated the significant move up closer to the plate?
Brownie actually defended the stance further away position on his KMOX comments.

Was it Walker's defiant decision?
Was it a mutual agreement between the two of them?
Was it something else?

IMHO, I have been hoping to see the the exact change as a first step to fixing the problem.

In his 3 ABs he had a ground out to 2B, line out to CF, SO looking.
I thought he was pretty close to squaring up the lineout.
The ground ball wasn't really hard hit.
The take on strike 3 was perfectly placed with the ball centered on the far edge of the box.

I would have loved to see him drive that one to the RF seats.
I hope that the center of the box move will be given some time to see what happens.

I hope JW's move in the batters box is an indication that he is becoming more willing to change in order to become a better MLB hitter. His MiLB success has not repeated in MLB. He will need to do more than lean on his physical skills in order to succeed at this level. How many times have we heard hitters talk about how their success is a series of constant adjustments?
