Cardinals went 18-29 over last 47 games since June 30
They have trailed after 3 innings in 33 of those games, outscored 120-53 in process.
So when you fall behind so early in games, it is lack of preparation, is it lack of urgency or just lack of talent?

lack of talent should show up more consistently. 120-53 is an abberation that indicates something deeper with leadership, preparation, etc
Re: Last 47 games....Inside the numbers, first 3 innings
Talent... pitchers aren't keeping runs off and hitters aren't scoring.
Could also be a coaching thing from the hitting side... game prep seems off if it takes that long to get to the opposing SP.

One of the worst (THE WORST?) starting staffs we've seen in St. Louis.
Three starters who are bottom of MLB (Mikolas-Pallante-Fedde).
A tiring Libby, aging Gray and young starter McG.
C. Bloom has his work cutout for him, needs to add at least two new starter sin 2026 to go w/Gray-Libby-McG.

Starting pitching is reason 1-no doubt
As for offense, maybe put your hottest hitters at top of lineup, those that can actually get on base
Herrera has been awful for 6 weeks and continues to hit 2nd
