Re: Pick Em
I’ll take “One of those games is not like the others” for $1000.
Texas, OSU freshman QB
Bama, wasn’t impressed by Castellanos against Mizzou
Clemson, return to top form for Dabo and Co this year
Notre Dame, I see this as a toss up and am picking ND because of Freeman

Why is Nebraska playing at arrowhead?
Did they move the school to Kansas?

Only 3 hours from Lincoln, little more from Omaha. Plenty of fans in SE Nebraska, NW Missouri. National TV. Mizzou ought to look into the same. St. Louis, tooRed Bird Classic wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 21:34 pm Why is Nebraska playing at arrowhead?

No way you take games out of Columbia, where home field is a huge advantage and they're spending a fortune on upgrading. Playing in KC or STL is a disservice to students in Columbia -- and non-student fans from STL if a game is in KC and vice versa when a game is in STL.edwin drood wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 21:52 pmOnly 3 hours from Lincoln, little more from Omaha. Mizzou has played numerous games in St. Louis, most recently against Memphis in 2010. St. Louis and Kansas City are rich recruiting grounds for Mizzou and I think guys would like playing in their home town. Nearly 10 years an annual game in StL vs Illinois was pretty popular. I think students would enjoy a weekend in either StL or KC. Not like there's nothing to do, like dodging gunfireicon wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 22:48 pmNo way you take games out of Columbia, where home field is a huge advantage and they're spending a fortune on upgrading. You don't take a game out of Columbia when you do this, its in lieu of a road game.icon wrote: ↑26 Aug 2025 22:48 pmNo way you take games out of Columbia, where home field is a huge advantage and they're spending a fortune on upgrading. Re: Pick Em
No, it's stupid. It's the MIssouri Tigers, not the St. Louis Tigers or KC Tigers. Does Bama play games in Birmingham? Does LSU play in New Orleans? Does UGA play in Atlanta? Does Tennessee play in Nashville? No, because that would be stupid. It's college football meant to be played on a college campus.edwin drood wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025 09:09 amMizzou has played numerous games in St. Louis, most recently against Memphis in 2010. Yea, Georgia played in Atlanta and Tennessee played in Nashville just last year. They were both “kickoff” games to start the season.icon wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025 15:00 pmNo, it's stupid. The Alabama Auburn game was played in Birmingham for years, hence the name Iron Bowl. Georgia is playing Georgia Tech in Atlanta's Mercedes Benz Stadium this fall.

Re: Pick Em
That's Ga Tech's home game, and their campus is in Atlanta.less than three miles from The Benz which has 20,000 more seats.edwin drood wrote: ↑27 Aug 2025 16:08 pm The Alabama Auburn game was played in Birmingham for years, hence the name Iron Bowl. Re: Pick Em
Tech got $10M to move the game to the Benz. They need the money.
Georgia played Clemson in the Benz last year to kick off the season. I've suggested in the past that Missouri lobby the powers that be to get a spot in that showcase. This year the match-ups are Syracuse/Tennessee and Virginia Tech/South Carolina.
