Agreed. Season 1 really nailed the tone of the games. Retro-futuristic weirdness with heaps of violence. Liked the nod to the VATS bullet action in the trailer for Season 2. Can't wait to see how they handle "New Vegas" and which factions, if any, they choose to feature.
