Really looking forward to season 2. I thought season 1 was great.

Agreed. Season 1 really nailed the tone of the games. Retro-futuristic weirdness with heaps of violence. Liked the nod to the VATS bullet action in the trailer for Season 2. Can't wait to see how they handle "New Vegas" and which factions, if any, they choose to feature. And will we get to see a super mutant?FrankTheTank wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 18:11 pm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TsP09cZA7o

Re: Fallout - Season 2
Just happened onto this series via my daughter and her fiance. Sharp writing.
What a funny, black & in many ways on point satire - love all the sly inside gags, the over-the-top simplistic bashing of corporate American, which nevertheless is largely on-target, in terms of their out-size influence, subversive (completely self-serving) nature by definition.
It's a hoot. Rooting for the ghouls.

What's everyone's thoughts on season 2 so far? I feel like it has been okay, but a lot going on as well. I don't think it has been as strong as season 1, just in my opinion.

I found myself so bored during E5 that I just tapped out.FrankTheTank wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 16:52 pm What's everyone's thoughts on season 2 so far? I feel like it has been okay, but a lot going on as well. I don't think it has been as strong as season 1, just in my opinion.
There are like 5 or 6 different storylines (depending on if you count the Ghoul's backstory as a separate one... I tend to bc they're basically two different characters complete with different accent
Hard to have a show without an obvious main protagonist... and I can't believe for one second that the videogame was as boring as this. Where's all the shooting stuff?

Still enjoying this quite a bit and do agree there are a lot of storylines they're trying to cram in - which probably isn't too different from the games as the character has to deal with and pick and choose between various groups and factions that each have a certain endgame they're working towards. There's at least 1 more season so hopefully next week's season 2 finale can add some more direction.FrankTheTank wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 16:52 pm What's everyone's thoughts on season 2 so far? Some good moments in this past episode when they find out Stephanie is a Canadian and when Thaddeus is talking "ghoul stuff" with Cooper.

Never played the game.
I watched Season 1 last year and I’m not sure why.

Somewhere in season 2 it sort of lost me. and the f'in ads are just brutal. maybe i'll pick it back up, but its gotten rather meandering. i do think the young woman character is quite amusing, well drawn.
