Congrats to Pedro's Son!!!! Royelny Strop completes the CYCLE

He's had a very up and down summer in the DSL, just can't stay on the field health wise...he's had 3 or 4 injuries, missed collectively a little over a month of games? Never really got it going this year....but his last 2 or 3 games have been what we hoped for....including today.

4-6, 8 RBI Cycle...the HR was his first and a GS HR to boot.

Congratulations to RHP Leonel Sequera (A) on being named Florida State League Pitcher of the Week!

Sequera, 20, pitched a season-high 6.0 shutout innings, retiring the first 11 batters of the game, and allowed just two base runners in Palm Beach's 5-0 win vs. Bradenton on Tuesday.

Congratulations to LHP Ixan Henderson (AA) on being named Texas League Pitcher of the Week!

Henderson, 23, took a no-hitter into the 7th inning last Wednesday vs. Wichita to earn his 8th win of the season, most in the league among starters.

The dominant outing also lowered his ERA to 2.42, best among all pitcher in the #STLCards organization (min. 50 IP).

Watching Jobert the past two years I felt he would be on the cut list, but the last few weeks he had come alive abit.
Too little, too late I guess.

What is the deal with one of the Cardinals top rated prospects , Brian Holiday. He was drafted last year and I haven't seen any stats.

IKR. He was hitting right at the draft and after. I thought he saved himself. It's tough now with only 4 leagues and the FCL. No more rookie ball. Have to make room in the Full Season league now.

I was expecting some sort of cuts to the PMB guys from Latin America. We only got 1...Catcher Maikel Hernandez. Our regular position players from Latin America are a carbon copy of each other....Power Contact, but not enough contact. .600 OPS players with 30% or higher K Rate. Speedsters, too.

Have any of the pitchers in the minor league system had a better season than Ixan Henderson?
