Good morning.
No. Sigh of relief. Cardinals would have to go 12-24 ish and Brewers 24-12 ish. Not enough games left.
25 out? Now that is feasible. We would have to go 15-21 ish and Brewers 21-15 ish. 25 games behind.
Reset does that. Plus maybe best team in baseball.
Been a minute or two since we saw these numbers.
Thoughts.
Will the Cards finish 30 games behind.

It's worth noting that the Pirates are 38-40 since May 19 and the Cardinals are an NL Central worst 35-43 since May 19.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 06:29 am Good morning.

It's also worth nothing that both teams started 10-15.
Basically, the only thing keeping the Cardinals out of last place is a fluke month from April 21 - May 19 where the Cardinals went 18-7.
When the season is over, it's likely we end up only a couple of games better than the Pirates.

This is true. And it is again a by product of resetting or whatever we call it today. And the best team in baseball.Lloyd Braun wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 07:57 amIt's worth noting that the Pirates are 38-40 since May 19 and the Cardinals are an NL Central worst 35-43 since May 19.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 06:29 am Good morning.

The number 25/30 seems daunting, until put into perspective.

I think they have a better chance to match 2023 when they were 20 games under .500.
