Army's Pool is Overflowing

Post by callitwhatyouwant »

Army is beating the heat this summer with a pool that has just too much water to handle. Other franchises are seeing the overflow of his pool water with assets like Bolduc. Is this the most amount of pool water you guys have seen? What is your guys take on pool levels during the summer? When the heat is on, do you like to keep that pool water topped off and keep running it to keep it cool? Or do you like to conserve and drop the levels?

It's crazy how much pool water Army has. You have guys like Stancl, Stenberg, Peterson, Kaskimaki, Dvorsky, Dean, Lindstein, Carbonneau, Jiricek all wanting to come to the pool party and there might not be enough space. Alexandrov is looking for the invite after a PPG season in the AHL and he might not be able to fit into the pool.

Army has the best pools.

In my younger days "pool management" was dealing with where one left the cue ball.

For sure! Nothing like screwing up and leaving the cue against a rail. You might make the next shot but you’re not leaving it where you want again, it just hoses up the whole run

All they did was trade Bolduc for Mailloux. All those others guys are still waiting to dip their toe in the pool. Who knows if any of them will be able to swim? Just because they got swim trunks on doesn't mean they can be lifeguard's. Half of those kids won't make it. Every team has a handful of hopefuls.

And those hopefuls come from various rounds of their respective drafts, with zero sure-things. Not even jersey sales are guaranteed, regardless of where a player is drafted.

We just happened to have the most hopefuls at the WJC of any team, and if half of just those 9 make it we'll have a good chunk of our roster filled for a while. Combined with the hopefuls who weren't at the WJC, there is room for optimism regarding a pool party.

Yes. You have identified a very strong and reliable leading indicator.

Above Ground or Inground?

I still fear Bolduc becoming a stud and Mailloux drowning in the pool. I hope Logan has good character. I hope hes good. Im a little worried about the move.

I don't disagree. Bolduc was my favorite prospect even over Snuggs for a long while. I had been very adamant a couple seasons ago that we should have just called him up even as a PP specialist because he was the heir apparent for losing Perron's shot. Hopefully Holloway showed enough juice and can continue that shot from the right and then snuggs can handle the left dot. I do think Holloways 1 timer opened up some eyes to some possibilities where we were once barren it looks like there is hope.

How's the pool weather in STL for this weekend? Where we are at it has cooled down tremendously. I heard Army was making an Offer Sheet on a rooftop pool downtown. Wouldn't mind grabbing one of those.

Put another way, a healthy dose of chlorine will clean up the pool right away.
