Yes and No ... Yes, they have been active in past years and No , they made their 'big' trade just a couple weeks ago in acquiring a 'bat' for their lineup Andrew Vaughn who has gone nuts for them at the plate. So they filled their desire for a 'bat' with that trade of P Civale for him from the White Soc.

The Cubs made some deals, but none were much - Soroka, Castro, and Kittridge (not the bad guy in Mission Impossible).
