I’m not surprised they aren’t robust the time to move him was in the offseason when he had just finished a great season and they could get a full season from him. Now he’s had a less than great season with a fast ball that now gets crushed and he’s a two month rental

I think the return is going to really disappoint those who think he's bringing back a Top 100 MB prospect, never happening.

I think I heard on MLB that relievers go late
And what is the big deal if they don't trade him...

He's the one guy who deserves a top 100 MB prospect. If teams aren't desperate enough....don't trade. I see no benefit to virtually give him away. Proffer a QO. He might decline for a 5 year deal somewhere and we could extend him over the winter ourselves....rockondlouie wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 12:53 pm I think the return is going to really disappoint those who think he's bringing back a Top 100 MB prospect, never happening.

Doubt that too .. the Cardinals will look to multiple prospects deal IMO . I would be surprised if a deal is a 1 for 1rockondlouie wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 12:53 pm I think the return is going to really disappoint those who think he's bringing back a Top 100 MB prospect, never happening.
Look for two prospects in a teams range of No. 5 thru 20

At best, Mo will strengthen the B Squad of the Cards system. No A Listers among them.

If he had years of control and was dealt in the past offseason but NOT at this time.
Deal him for whatever you can get now.
If he's serious and would take a team friendly deal, then bring him back if Bloom wants him.

Let's hope for a bidding war, then they might get those two prospects from a teams 10-20 or one in the 5-9 range?ramfandan wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 13:02 pmDoubt that too .. the Cardinals will look to multiple prospects deal IMO . Re: ESPN Olney: Cards are exchanging names for Helsley
His peripherals are down a bit but he still throws 102 with a wipeout slider --- and a lot of closing experience. If a team thinks he is the piece that will win them a world series and they have trading chips the cards could do really well.
Re: ESPN Olney: Cards are exchanging names for Helsley
Attach someone with him to get the better return. Be it Nootbaar,Romero or even Maton or a catcher. To Philly attach Crooks to the deal to get a better return or Nootbaar.

in a reset, you got nothing for your expiring contract mlb saves leader, no parts that could help the team in 2026.... that is called failure.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2025 12:55 pm I think I heard on MLB that relievers go late
