The second day of Missouri football’s fall camp mirrored much of Monday’s opening session, with media granted access to roughly the first hour of practice.

This time, quarterback Sam Horn broke down the huddle for the warmup period — a shift from Monday, when defensive end Zion Young set the tone.

After the early energy burst, the team broke into individual drills.

Here are a few observations from Tuesday’s session:

Toward the end of the media viewing window, Mizzou ran a drill that offered a subtle look at its offensive line groupings.

Working with the running backs on outside zone run schemes, the line split into right- and left-side units, with running backs alternating sides on each rep.

The starting left side included center Connor Tollison, left guard Cayden Green and left tackle Jayven Richardson — who is competing for the starting left tackle spot.

The right side featured presumed backup center Tristan Wilson, right guard Dominick Giudice — a Michigan transfer who coach Eli Drinkwitz has suggested will likely be the starter there — and right tackle Keagan Trost, a Wake Forest transfer who Drinkwitz previously said earned the starting role during spring camp.

The second unit included West Virginia transfer Johnny Williams IV at left tackle, Florida State transfer Jaylen Early at left guard, Curtis Peagler at right guard and Brandon Solis at right tackle.

The groupings were unofficial, and no live reps were shown. Still, Richardson appears to be ahead of Williams in the left tackle competition early in camp.

Drinkwitz has reiterated the quarterback competition will play out over time, and Tuesday reaffirmed that.

After Horn worked with starting center Tollison on Monday, Penn State transfer Beau Pribula took snaps from Tollison on Tuesday and handled many of the same first-team reps Horn had the day prior.

The Tigers still haven’t named a starting signal-caller, and not much appears to have changed yet.

“When the quarterback’s ready, he’ll show himself to the team. I think we’ll all know who it is,” Drinkwitz said Sunday. “And when that is, we’ll tell you. I don’t plan on waiting to announce because of a perceived advantage. Neither one of them has played that much football.”

During the same period of quarterback-center exchanges, freshman Matt Zollers worked with fellow freshman Henry Fenuku for a second consecutive day.

Fenuku, a four-star recruit from Fort Worth, Texas, and Zollers, a top-100 recruit from Royersford, Pennsylvania, are building early chemistry in what could be a glimpse of Mizzou’s future.

Redshirt sophomore kicker Blake Craig looked sharp during a brief special teams segment.

The Kansas City product drilled all three field goal attempts, converting from 27, 33 and 38 yards, then capped the sequence with a made extra point.

Last season, Craig finished 24-for-34 on field goals in his first campaign as the starter.
