I know a few friends in St. Louis during the past several days of 105 + Heat index who aren't feeling too well either.
As for 24 hours ago both could have been traded .. most likely not . All these teams wanting reliever help wait til the bitter end to make their moves usually. It happens every year. Thursday will be the day with most trades and several of them will come down to the final hour of the trade deadline. Same every year . When teams are pushed up against the 'deadline clock ', the 'buyers' revise their final offer UP a bit to finalize a deal and SELLERS will back off their demand and accept something a bit less when faced with the clock expiring.

Donovan probably need a day off. His hitting has been a little off. Players play a long schedule and this heat doesn't help. Sometimes you have to pause and recharge the battery.
