I’m not saying that King could’ve brought much back for us, but an entire house cleaning of 95% of the roster is the only thing that can get us back on track in 2-3 years.

Having players like Gray and Contreras on the roster for the foreseeable future only holds us back.

Donovan not playing tonight is also an ominous sign.

I know a few friends in St. Louis during the past several days of 105 + Heat index who aren't feeling too well either.
As for 24 hours ago both could have been traded .. most likely not . All these teams wanting reliever help wait til the bitter end to make their moves usually. It happens every year. Thursday will be the day with most trades and several of them will come down to the final hour of the trade deadline. Same every year . When teams are pushed up against the 'deadline clock ', the 'buyers' revise their final offer UP a bit to finalize a deal and SELLERS will back off their demand and accept something a bit less when faced with the clock expiring.
