Mo pre-game with the Cat
-Expiring contract players have interest from other teams
-Thinking about the future when making trades
-Debating internally what markets looks like
-Lot of text & phone calls going on
-Majority of trades fall on FINAL DAY, FINAL HOUR
-Teams reaching out, Mo letting them know who's available
-Trying to optimize returns
-No crystal ball, things are fluid expects Monday things pickup

Re: Mo pre-game with the Cat
My big takeaway was trades will most likely be made to help the team in 2026 and beyond. This is the correct move for the organization.
Re: Mo pre-game with the Cat
Yes, and the other takeaway was that most likely the deals won't happen til Thursday . Mo says most deals don't happen til Thursday and not only Thursday but often in the final hour on that day .cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 12:51 pm My big takeaway was trades will most likely be made to help the team in 2026 and beyond. So considering that , if you count today , it's 5 days yet til we most likely see the Cardinals making the deals.
So be patient everyone .. Get ready for Thursday !

I liked hearing that too, told me he's working closely w/C. Bloom and not focusing on the next two months.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 12:51 pm My big takeaway was trades will most likely be made to help the team in 2026 and beyond. This is the correct move for the organization.

My guess is this is Bloom's decision not Mozeliak. Unlikely Mozeliak in his final season wants to throw in the towel.rockondlouie wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 12:50 pm -Expiring contract players have interest from other teams

Sounds like mostly bullpen pieces will get moved. Helsley, maybe Maton. If they can find someone who wants Mikolas and if he's willing to waive his NTC.
I have a feeling that's mostly likely it

Hopefully BDWJr steps in and let's Bloom make the calls.ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 13:36 pmMy guess is this is Bloom's decision not Mozeliak. Bloom is probably being consulted but I'm not sure what his role is at the moment. Is he doing a deep dive into prospects around the league?ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 13:36 pmMy guess is this is Bloom's decision not Mozeliak. For years, he's talked down to the fan base...arrogant and blatantly bullshits every interview...the face of the franchise with a punchable face.Jobu's Rum wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 14:10 pm Tired of this overrated clown talk the same monotone non-sense every year.
