C. Bloom trading deadline moves while in Boston

Post by rockondlouie »

While in Boston C. Bloom made a couple of trading deadline deals that didn't amount to much but he also didn't give up anything of value in those deals.

BUT he also made a couple of dynamite deals landing premium players while giving up little to nothing.

He made these trading deadline deals:

1)

Nick Piveta/SP

for

Brandon Workman and Heath Hembree

2)

Kyle Schwarber (aka TGKS)

for

Aldo Ramirez

3)

Wilyer Abreu

2025: 20 HRs/.808 OPS/121 OPS+

for

Christian Vázquez

Why is BDWJr allowing Mo to have the final say on trades? :?

Any moves Mo makes will not only affect the next few months but also Bloom's team for 2026 beyond.

Especially when you look at the deals above and see the great trades Bloom made at the deadline while in Boston.

I’ve been there. High levels of leadership. Trust me, no May be there, but he is not the lead. Bloom is.

Mo just shows up and visits people in the departments in the org. Eats all the goodies the women bring to work daily.

Rock, as usual, we have no idea what is going on, and they aren't going to tell us. Maybe Bloom is sitting around the table with MO analyzing trade proposals with a large say in what happens, or maybe he is not. Neither you nor I know. That is the reality. What we do know is that ownership will not spend a lot of money in the near future. My prediction is not much happens at the deadline. Maybe Helsley is moved. That is the easiest one as I am sure there are suitors. Unless they are going to give him the QO and take the pick. I seriously doubt Donnie is gone, nor even Maton. Maybe I will be wrong, but I don't think so.

I predict that Helsley, Matz, and Maton are traded, that they don't fetch a lot in return, and that CT will blame Mozeliak.

No matter what does or doesn't happen, Mo will be blamed

No need to blame. If they're that great they all can be re-signed!

Sadly BDog Mo does indeed have the final say, although he'd be a fool not to take Bloom's opinions seriously and act on them.

I wish you were right, I don't see the egomaniac ceding power until after the trade deadline.

I have no doubt what you said bcc is happening (Bloom is sitting around the table with MO analyzing trade proposals..) but just how large a say he has is still that great unknown.

And boy do I hope you're wrong (on this one) w/your prediction of "not much" happening.

It would be a HUGE mistake on Mo's part not to get something for Helsley, Maton and Matz at the very least! ::crazya::

Bigger deals, if he deems necessary, w/be this offseason when Bloom is in charge.
