team of the setting sun

Post by 12xu »

there is a team in St. Louis
they call the Cardinals
and it's been the class of the NL
but now it's gone to hell

the owner is a billionaire
his name is Bill DeWitt
he brought in John Mozeliak
who looked to be a twit

He spent Bill's money foolishly
he was a careless clerk
and when the fans would question him
he acted like a jerk

Mo led the franchise down the tubes
but the club he still would run
until he claimed he would retire
from the team of the setting sun

He's got one foot on the platform
the other foot on the plane
he's got a golden parachute
a red jacket soon to claim

:D oh oh...someone is going to get chastised for having fun and being mean to Mo-ran. The front office (donkey) kissers act like he's their boyfriend.

So. After we lose a 3-1 hard fought game you become a poet. That’s what I’m talking about.

I was just curious on the timing, why now, not last week. I’d think a blow out would have triggered this event.

On a dark and lonely highway. East of Omaha. Sits a town of baseball lore. Better than them all.

Turn the page.

Not just last night, Dog. I have been posting stuff like this for a while now. I am not much of a poet, but I do enjoy poking fun at the arrogant Mr. Mo.

I am hopeful that the next phase of the team I have loved since 1960 is better run and successful. It is tough for me to see what has transpired here in the last several seasons.

I will be attending the game today at Busch, and confident that McGreevy will give it his very best effort. All we can do as fans right now is support the players and look for positive results for the future.

Naturally you’re good to go. I wasn’t criticizing. I was making note of your timing. You prose was superb.

As for the team. I still contend we went into a rebuild of sorts, and had success along the way. But winning this year is a by product of the mission. A side effect to the medicine.

And as far as rebuild go, several players have performed. I say we are a stud Ace and a big bay away. That Matt take two deadlines or off seasons.

In my plan, patience is truly a virtue.
