Wow...20 home games scheduled.
So are the Wisconsin and Denver games the obvious for ticket selection or what other teams might be better/interesting to see?

Re: Lindenwood
That’s a pretty decent schedule and number of home games for a newer team that isn’t even in a conference.dhsux wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 10:42 am Wow...20 home games scheduled.

Besides Wisconsin and Denver, I’d absolutely want to go to the Feb 21/22 games against the NTDP U18 team. Those are always good games.
Re: Lindenwood
Thanks. I believe they beat the Badgers last year at their place...pretty cool they're here this year.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 10:53 amThat’s a pretty decent schedule and number of home games for a newer team that isn’t even in a conference.dhsux wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 10:42 am Wow...20 home games scheduled.

Gonna get to a game or two for sure this year.

(bleep), as much as I despise Lindenwood, even I may have to check that out.

Re: Lindenwood
I would say if you haven’t been to a game at that arena make sure you check it out this year…it’s a really great place to watch a game. I’m debating on buying a couple of season tickets. Probably won’t go to every game though but definitely Wisconsin, Denver, USNTDP, and Alaska Anchorage games for sure.

It was built on the backs of kids who were enrolled to fail. I failed, just as designed. Took me 20+ years to pay off the loans, for nothing.

I'm actually excited because my nephew is starting High School next year, plays hockey, and told his dad he wants to go to Wisconsin. They were there for a tournament and somebody took this random middle schooler and his dad on a campus tour. He was sold.

Re: Lindenwood
Thanks for that article. I always wondered about the whole phenomenon...never understood it, came to my own conclusions. I still have a strongly entrenched opinion about the whole education & credential options available to young people, that has been gained from the wisdom of a couple of extremely accomplished educators over many decades. Very interesting read.TAFKAP wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 14:18 pmIt was built on the backs of kids who were enrolled to fail. I failed, just as designed. Took me 20+ years to pay off the loans, for nothing.

Re: Lindenwood
I was the second Freshman class after Spellman took over. Not considered "College Bound" by my high school. Nobody in my family had a college degree. I found out about it, because the girl I was dating at the time went there (she was the first class). You couldn't commute, you had to live on campus. Student loans, grants and "work study". Had no idea what section #'s meant or that as a Freshman, me being in 2 300 level classes was bad. Advisors were students on "work study". If you got behind on work study, they would remind you it had to be caught up before semesters end or you would get billed (work study was $7k a semester). I got behind early, lost in classes, skipping class to make up work study, out at the end of the semester. They got me for $7k that my grandmother gave me and another $2k in Federal Student Loans. Plus the $10k+ from the Federal Pell Grant. I found out a couple years after I left they changed the laws about withdrawing or failing students the grant money goes back to the Government. Still (upset). It's my fault, Mom said I was going to college and I had to figure it out. I thought I had. I learned something all right.Old_Goat wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 09:29 amThanks for that article. You accept responsibility and that tells me a lot about you. You also make very intuitive and thoughtful posts on this forum and I appreciate those from you as well.TAFKAP wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 14:12 pmI was the second Freshman class after Spellman took over. Extremely interesting read. Thanks for posting. It made me kind of sour on Lindenwood as a whole. Spellman reminds me of someone else.TAFKAP wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025 14:18 pmIt was built on the backs of kids who were enrolled to fail. I failed, just as designed. Its really interesting, the “student centered approach” stuff is a very familiar talking point that was first weaponized against teachers in districts all over the country. Its ironic that it was the professors that provided politicians and administrators cover while they implemented anti educator policies and inflated their paychecks. Now its been turned around on those professors, you reap what you sow. I sincerely hope the Profs enjoy the garbage they brought upon educators pointed back at them.
Re: Lindenwood
That wasn't always the case. It took decades. My brother in law went, and graduated, from there a decade later and had a great experience. I've been around here a very long time. I appreciate you, thanks.Old_Goat wrote: ↑27 Jul 2025 15:16 pmYou accept responsibility and that tells me a lot about you.
