Didn't stick in MLB until age 31. Career .349 hitter .945 OPS.

In this interview Ted Williams credits O'Doul for giving him great advice in the minors. "Never let anyone change you".

He also has a famous bloody Mary mix. I normally make my own because I don't like any of the mixes, but my daughter sent 3 bottles of Lefty O'Douls bloody mary mix and it is great. He use to have a restaurant in San Francisco, and a lot of celebrities would go there for the bloody Mary.
