Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
3 home runs today and 13 home runs in 19 games at AAA
He's a lefty bat but we desperately need power wherever you can get it.
Give them whatever they need for the guy!

Re: Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
NY probably sees him as their next Judge, 6'7 slugger from the LH side.
Probably would be pricey.

Yeah, IDK, lol, but starting the negotiations off by stating you'll give them whatever they want may not be the best tactic.
Doubt if they have him available for anything very reasonable. That said, maybe start with Burly, Hence and Roby.
What do you think shades?

Re: Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
Throw in Saggese, too. And Roddery Munoz for the heck of it.

Would you trade them Arenado if it meant eating 90% of the contract?
Re: Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
Maybe NY version of Jordan Walker.

I’d start with Helsley, personally. But no not whatever they want

MO: there are tactics?
Re: Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
I think the guy strikes out 40% of the time but yeah give them whatever they want
Re: Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
Same. And I’d add more. Most of our farm is overvalued outside of our 2 high picks.Banner29 wrote: ↑24 Jul 2025 22:07 pmramfandan wrote: ↑24 Jul 2025 13:16 pm"Whatever they want huh ?' Re: Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
Not everything but willing to do a lot. Supposedly they want to improve outfield. Not sure we got to offer there. But primarily 3 rd base and bull pen. Hence Arenado and Helsley. I realize Helsley is a rental but if he performed the rich Yankees probably extend. Arenado is probably 2nd maybe third best option out there for 3rd. Maybe eat some of his salary.vegascardsfan5890 wrote: ↑24 Jul 2025 13:05 pm 3 home runs today and 13 home runs in 19 games at AAA

Interesting note on Arenado. Tax consideration. I heard that is an issue the higher taxes in New York. Of course California would be just as bad. You think that is minor it’s not.
Just dumping Arenado is of great benefit to the Cardinals. You free up some payroll plus you make infield room. One other thing. Winn is on my list. Maybe not Yankees. But he could add value for a Helsley deal or an Arenado. Durability is a concern for me. And JJ is getting close.

Re: Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
You people are deranged. A young cost controlled super stud; and you think they would trade him to us.
What could they ever get that rates better. The goal is to get the best, they did. He ain’t leaving.
And then you counter with junk. Pure junk for a super star.
I’m muffed.

Re: Give the Yankees whatever they want for Spencer Jones
You’re probably right but I still see them as a spot to DUMP Arenado and I’m willing to sweeten the pot to do so. It’s too important to long term plan (if there is one).sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025 08:14 am You people are deranged.
