Hence, Roby, Franklin, Graceffo

We could be looking at one heck of a bullpen from the RH side if these guys pan out.

Sure, I hope 1 becomes a legit MLB starter, but I'd accept them as great BP arms. With starters like Gray, Doyle, Lbby, McGreevy, and potentially Mathews in the system, starting spots may get full. Especially if Bloom is wise enough to hunt a 1/2 through free agency or trade.

Gray will only be here through next year. I wouldn't bet on seeing him and Doyle in a rotation together.

we're going to be doing a lot of trading from Depth (catcher, LHP starters in the Minors, etc) starting this winter. I believe we don't know a starting pitcher or two at the moment. Nor do we know a couple of Starting OF at the moment. And I can't wait to be honest.

An honest question. How does Burleson fit into your plans for the next few seasons?

the same as every other player does....see what you can get for him. The plan is the future. These guys like Walker, Gorman, Burleson, Winn, Leahy, Pallante will start costing ARB money soon. If you can trade a lot of players with control, you can get back 1 1/2 to 2 times the amount in depth.

Hence should've been transitioned to the closer role this season in anticipation of him getting a shot at replacing Helsley.

He's NOT a starter.

Rock... that is becoming more and more of an option.
Electric arm but can’t stay healthy.
Hopefully he’s not the second coming of Alex Reyes?

I'd love for the kid to have been healthy and able to handle 150 innings but we now know that's not happening.

But I've been saying for two years now cuse that he's got D. Williams like potential as a closer, upper 90's fastball and a great changeup.

That plays in MLB from a closer!

I have thought for years that he should become the closer but now I have concerns. You can't count on him to be healthy enough to be your closer for a year. He might very well be the second coming of Reyes. I would trade him as part of a package if the Cardinals can get a legit #1 or #2 starter.

WTH does Alec Burleson have to do with this topic??

This kid probably had to get a restraining order against you.

Most pitchers in the minors come up as starters to pile up innings.
Then they transition to the BP as needed.

I thought of Reyes also.
If you go back 4-5 years the plan seemed to be Reyes & Flaherty fronting the rotation.
We all know what happened.
Funny....they traded Alcantara & Gallen who both excelled but now THEY are on the trading block.
You never know?

Maybe he was given a hypnotic suggestion by Burleson’s Agent??

Yep

They almost all start their careers as starters but teams quickly can see who might make it to the big leagues as a starter and who needs to be transitioned to the pen'.

Hence is one of them, he's not a starter.
