I think it’s Moe but a select few think Chaim wouldn’t take a 5 year deal with one of them being a transition year.
It happens in corporate America all the time. Growth office joins but sits on the side lines learning etc for months / year before taking over or really any executive. It happens all the time.
Anyway if their flawed logic holds true we have another Moe on our hands.

That makes sense to me but some seem to think we are idiots. Is there something I missed assuming Moe is running the show? According to your post I’m not……

Are going to give Chaim a nickname like “Moe”?Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 04:34 am I think it’s Moe but a select few think Chaim wouldn’t take a 5 year deal with one of them being a transition year.

Maybe like “Off Key Chime”? OKC?

Like Moe, he’ll have the chance to earn it, whatever it turns out to be. That’s okay with you isn’t it? I mean, we need your permission to do certain things. You run the place, right?Cranny wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:41 amAre going to give Chaim a nickname like “Moe”?Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 04:34 am I think it’s Moe but a select few think Chaim wouldn’t take a 5 year deal with one of them being a transition year.

He's NOT running the team, Mo 100% controls the roster.
However, Bloom has been involved w/the draft and is also going to be involved w/the trades.
But it's ALL Mo as far as the roster and roster moves made this season, this is his baby and on his resume.

Mozeliak said it himself... that he's running it, that Chaim is available for consultation / collaboration, but that it was status quo for now... that he would engage Chaim IF there was a potential move that would have effects beyond 2026.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:36 amThat makes sense to me but some seem to think we are idiots. It is unbelievable that he would have that level of involvement with his departure mere weeks away. It tells you a lot about him. And what it tells you isn’t good. I’ve been in his position (retiring from a company) and at some point you just hang back and let the ones who will be there after you leave make the decisions. The ego with that man must be incredible. He should be insisting that Bloom have a say so for future matters. And Bill should be telling Moe to stand down.An Old Friend wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:58 amMozeliak said it himself... that he's running it, that Chaim is available for consultation / collaboration, but that it was status quo for now... that he would engage Chaim IF there was a potential move that would have effects beyond 2026.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:36 amThat makes sense to me but some seem to think we are idiots. As the way it should be. Chaim’s first job was to up the technology and teaching techniques throughout the system, as well as get ready for the draft. That was enough to be in his plate every day.An Old Friend wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:58 amMozeliak said it himself... that he's running it, that Chaim is available for consultation / collaboration, but that it was status quo for now... that he would engage Chaim IF there was a potential move that would have effects beyond 2026.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:36 amThat makes sense to me but some seem to think we are idiots. You mean “earn it” on forum’s like Tony earned it?Rojo Johnson wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:46 amLike Moe, he’ll have the chance to earn it, whatever it turns out to be. That’s okay with you isn’t it? That long haired, wine sipping attorney who had no business being a major league manager?
Re: If Chaim is running this team he’s doing a (bleep) poor job.
Dewitt has to be terrified of Mo for some reason. He’s let Mo and his ego run rampant with no repercussions for too long. And now we are seeing it cost him millions in ticket sales, concessions, etc etc. and drove this once envious team into complete irrelevance.Rojo Johnson wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 09:09 amIt is unbelievable that he would have that level of involvement with his departure mere weeks away. Even if Mo was his best friend you would think Dewitt would at the very least just be like “hey Bloom is taking over just ride things out and kick your feet back” but he continues to let Mo be a cancer at the expense of his product.
He clearly can’t tell Mo what to do, which begs the question…….why?

I'll reserve judgement on Bloom. After all he was fired by the Red Sox.
Show me.
Show me.

Rojo is absolutely right.
Mozeliak should’ve gotten / taken some sort of chairman or EVP show title for the season but turned it over to Chaim. He’s leaving for a reason. He’s damaged the franchise, and they allowed him one final lap? Stupid.
Re: If Chaim is running this team he’s doing a (bleep) poor job.
Hey whats another year to waste….perhaps next season actual butts in seat will be below 10KAn Old Friend wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:58 amMozeliak said it himself... that he's running it, that Chaim is available for consultation / collaboration, but that it was status quo for now... that he would engage Chaim IF there was a potential move that would have effects beyond 2026.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑23 Jul 2025 08:36 amThat makes sense to me but some seem to think we are idiots. It’s laughable at this point….the answer for some is no $$ for payroll, but just the insanity of starting old washed up pitchers when this is the year of youth has no logical explanation…..doesn’t cost $$ to insert McGreevy, Graf, even Leahy….heck even Matz would do a better job than Miles/Fedde
It’s just inaction after poor decisions after inaction after poor decisions
