They would have handled Jordan Walker the way the have always handled Jordan Walker. There several minor league players that have been floundering for years that have put it together and started to move- notably Nathan Church and Joshua Baez. That's no small thing, and there are others. We've seen a different draft approach that seems intelligent. So if the major changes you seek are additional payroll, I agree we will be disappointed. Agree about Liberatore. Scott absolutely should not have broken camp with the 26 man roster, I don’t understand what you’re trying to say about Walker. Idk how you can definitively say that church and Baez are playing well bc of bloom & co. Chase Davis hasn’t figured it out. Koperniak has been bad. Mathews has been hurt and bad. Tink and Roby continue to get injured. The point is you can’t give the credit to the new regime bc two guys are starting to figure it out.
Maybe the draft approach is different. However, the Cardinals don’t pick 5th ever, so it’s probably more so that than anything else. And if the philosophy is drastically different, than why is Flores still around? I’m not disagreeing that things are changing. I am stating you really don’t know how much of anything is due to the incoming regime.
And I was mainly talking about the big league roster. Any make investment won’t happen until after the lockout. I think most of baseball will play the same game. Not a good year for Kyle Tucker to become a free agent.
If the cardinals hold on to Helsley, they should think twice about a QO. They need to trade him, or they may be paying him $20M+ next season

Exactly right. The owner isn’t going to get free agent talent. And there isn’t one quality player currently on the roster.
